October Horror Films 2011 | Day 16 | I Sell the Dead (dir. Glenn McQuaid; Glass Eye Pix 2008)
Brief review: I Sell the Dead is a horror-comedy about graverobbers (who steal the bodies of the recently deceased). One of them is executed at the beginning of the film and the other (played by Dominic Monaghan) is awaiting his own execution. A priest (Ron Perlman) visits him in prison to hear his story. The graverobber tells how he got into that line of work, as well as the different types of things he has dug up (he and his partner specialize in retrieving un-dead bodies - the film features a vampire and zombies, among other things).
I Sell the Dead was decent. I recommend it to fans of Ron Perlman, Dominic Monaghan, and horror comedies.
Bonus: This film costars Angus Scrimm (probably best known as The Tall Man in Phantasm and its sequels).
